The Shelter

Leading Brazoria County in the No Kill by 2020 concept thanks to you and the community our old and out dated shelter saved over 3000 animals last year with over a 90% save rate.   That means over 9 out of 10 animals that came through our doors left through the front doors to someone's home and not out the back door in a body bag.   Just a few short years ago sadly this was not the case!  Back then over 80% of the dogs entering the front door sadly left in body bags out the backdoors.  Not because they were unwanted, but because there simply was not enough resources and people to help make a difference.   Today we are working hard in saving as many animals as we can and in the process educating our community on programs to assist in the No Kill cause.    So THANK YOU for supporting the SPCA we truly are making a difference!

Thrift Store

We’ve been reselling gently used goods and generating funds for the Brazoria County SPCA shelter and their operations in Freeport Texas for several years now. Small on the outside, but big on the inside, new visitors are usually astonished when they first visit. It’s like a museum of household goods from the Brazosport Area.

Our wonderful staff and volunteers keep the store organized and awesome so you can find what you love, and they’re happy to make a great deal with you while you shop.

SPCA Thrift Stores throughout Brazoria County continue to contribute all proceeds each year to the operation of our our shelters which goes directly into the health and well being of all animals that come through the shelters.  So come visit us, look around, and when you purchase items know your money goes directly to the animals of our community!

We are open on Thursdays, Fridays, and  Saturdays from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm.

We accept donations during all business hours!

Or you may leave donations at the Southern Brazoria County Animal Shelter at 141 Canna Lane in Lake Jackson, Texas.
